Brilliant Colors

Another excellent lo-fi indie pop band from San Fran, meet Brilliant Colors. This band formed in 2007 and have released a couple of albums since then, the latest being 'Again and Again' on Slumberland Records. Despite a myriad of acts within this genre, Brilliant Colours stand out from the rest with sweet dreamy female vocals over angular, post-punk guitars, all of which results in an energetic yet distinctly feminine indie pop sound (not nearly as twee as so many of their peers).

'How Much Younger' is their stand-out track but 'English Cities' and 'Value Lines' also make for great listening. Both of which are still available over at Last.fm or through Slumberland's website. They're currently touring the US so you should get a chance to see them live if you can.
